Nice little tool, is this just for use in a game or something or are you planning to make a full animation program from it?

StejkRobot responds:

This is just a small part of of what is a full game, we are planning on adding a ton more features to this gif maker tho!

You can check out the steam page for a gameplay trailer if you're interested in the game part.

Love these type of puzzles, great work :)

whileworking responds:

And I love creating them. Thanks so much for playing!

Nice work on the game!
If I can offer one piece of advice, you can make your games view larger without changing the original resolution, pixel art will scale up within the original aspect ratio perfectly well. I usually make games in 256 x 144 but will set the viewport on NG etc to 2 or 3 times that (within the aspect ratio) so that it is a nice size on screen.

Wolod responds:

Thanks for advice!

The pixel art is nice, the sounds are good too. The mechanics work but like others have said I would balance the size of the character, obstacles, enemies and their corresponding hit boxes. High difficulty is great but at current the game feels a bit unfair rather than difficult but a few tweaks could make this a really fun game, keep up the good work!

matt-armoredfrog responds:

Hi, we have just released an update for the game which solves some of the impossible situations that might arise. We are glad you liked the pixel art and sounds. Thank you for playing the game!

Very nice work, like the graphics and the contra-esque vibe. The controls could be a little bit sharper but otherwise great job.

Pipeweed responds:

Thank you, ill see what more i can do about the controls before the next version.. :)

Great work. I love the super minimal style. The controls and gameplay is are very smooth also however I am not sure how I feel about the complete lack of music, I get the kind of atmosphere you are going for but I think some ambient music would be good. The boss fight I'm assuming is quite early in development as it had no sound fx etc. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the finished game!

hostagetest responds:

Thank! Sound fx and music in progress too, I work with composer and he doing for me music tracks. In final version music will be present. Many sound effects are missing, and those that are - will changed in future.

Try to work on adding animations to things like enemy deaths, the shotgun firing. Also maybe try to decorate your map a bit. Keep working at it :) !

HardcoreGamez responds:

im working on other projects but thanks.

Great job for your first attempt! Some advice I would give you is: If you are going for a super minimal look, focus heavily on what colours you use rather than using all bright primary colours (Check out Thomas was Alone for a great example of a beautiful yet minimal game).
I would also say add things like level select or continue, hotkeys for resetting the game etc. ( Throw me a PM if you want help setting up a level select).
Keep up the good work!

RicksMug responds:

Thank you so much for all the advice that helps me out a lot, I'll definitely try Thomas was alone so thank you for the recommendation :b

The idea and the attitude is hilarious, I had genuine fun playing this. Can you walk while carrying your "bro"? that would be awesome (unless you can and I'm just stupid haha). Good work!

SinclairStrange responds:

I do plan if I ever did to take it forward that you could walk while carrying your bro, but only for a little bit (and you would be slow also) so you could re-position better.

And thanks! :)

I'm from Northern Ireland. I make games sometimes.
